About Outsiders
Outsiders is a family farm built on a simple belief: connection matters, and so do the skills that bring us together.
We desire for our farm to be a place where people of all ages can come to learn, share, create, celebrate, and grow together. From Tiny Tot Days and teen nights to workshops, photography sessions, private gatherings, seasonal celebrations, and events of all kinds, there is always something happening at Outsiders.
We also love creating handmade goods and farm-fresh preserves and finding meaningful ways to make the most of the land God has entrusted to us.
Owned by Jonathan and Ashley Walker, Outsiders is truly a family effort. We also love working alongside local farmers, makers, and artisans who share our appreciation for the value and blessing found in the "old skills"—growing food, working with our hands, creating something from scratch, caring for the land, and learning from one another.
We believe supporting farmers and local makers matters. But we also believe you don't have to own a farm to be part of it. Every one of us can play a part in keeping these skills, relationships, and traditions alive.
Whether you're coming to learn something new, attend an event, celebrate something special, spend time with your family, or simply reconnect with a slower way of life, we hope Outsiders feels like a place where you belong.
We're simply trying to do our part with what God has given us—and invite others to come be part of it.
Outsiders — Different Together.
Little Explorers | Ages 2–6
Little Explorers is where some of the sweetest farm memories begin. Designed especially for ages 2–4, these mornings give parents and grandparents a chance to slow down and experience the farm right alongside their little one.
Together, you'll meet and care for our animals, collect eggs, dig in the dirt, plant something to grow, color, explore, and discover all the little things that make farm life so special.
There's no rushing and no pressure—just little hands learning new things with someone they love right beside them.
Come make a mess, meet an animal, plant something, and make a memory.
The Core Group | Ages 7–12
The Core Group is where farm days turn into real-life skills, big adventures, and the kind of childhood memories we hope they never forget.
Meeting three days a week, our kids get to explore what farming really looks like—and quickly learn that there is so much more to it than animals and tractors! We'll explore everything from flowers and vegetables to harvesting, canning, cooking, growing food, and working with our hands. Along the way, kids learn practical skills they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.
And because childhood should also be FUN, we'll mix all that learning with water days, plenty of animal snuggles, the mud kitchen, outdoor adventures, and lots of time to just be kids.
When something is ripe and in season on the farm, you can bet we're picking it, tasting it, cooking with it, or figuring out what we can make from it!
At Outsiders, we don't just want kids to know where their food comes from. We want them to experience it.
Come ready to get dirty, try something new, learn a skill—and probably go home with a story to tell.
Teen Days | Ages 13–17
Teen Days are about giving teenagers something we think they need a little more of—real experiences, real responsibility, real connection, and a chance to get their hands dirty.
These days are designed specifically for teens to step away from screens and everyday pressures and spend time working, creating, learning, laughing, and connecting on the farm.
We'll take on bigger projects, learn practical skills, cook, grow and preserve food, care for animals, explore different kinds of farming, build things with our hands, and learn skills they can actually use long after they leave the farm.
But Teen Days aren't all work. There will be water fun, games, animal snuggles, food, plenty of laughs, and time to simply hang out with other teens.
We want teenagers to leave knowing they're capable of more than they realized—and maybe discover something they love along the way.
Less screens. More life. More connection. And a whole lot of farm.
